The focus of the event will be on global social justice. Jess Fritze, Climate Change Policy Analyst of the  Victorian Council of Social Services will facilitate the event. Samuel Alexander, PhD Law Student, will discuss the quiet emergence of a humble social movement known as Voluntary Simplicity. He will explore the freedom of living as simply as possible, limiting consumption and spending more time towards discovering happiness and well-being. Renowned author Peter Singer will discuss the topic of his recently published book - The Life You Can Save: Acting Now to End World Poverty. With resolute clarity, Singer urges a greater contribution to charity to end world poverty, arguing persuasively that many of us can forego luxuries in order to make the difference of a life. Rebecca McNaught will discuss her work with the Red Cross / Red Crescent Climate Centre, providing an inspiring example of action, describing life working in the non-profit social sector.
