The focus of the event this year will be on climate change. Facilitator Annie Bolitho will provide a broad introduction to the inter-disciplinary nature of sustainability. David Karoly will provide an update on the science in climate change. Guest speaker Philip Sutton will discuss his role in establishing Safe Climate Australia. The presentation will highlight the leading role of the innovative organisation which aims to mobilise the extensive technological, economic and political expertise and resources in planning the transition of the Australian economy to zero net carbon. Phillip will explore the meaning of 'safe climate' and how a safe climate can be restored at emergency speed.
