Sustainability Week 2010
22nd - 26th of March  

The Sustainability Week program provides a week of lectures, workshops & activities, including a Sustainability Fair that will showcase a range of new and emerging NGO's and innovative social and ethical enterprises. A central part of the week will be a series of three public lectures based around the major aspects of sustainability: the social, ecological and economic. Sustainability Week aims to provide students with an opportunity to learn more about sustainability and how they can take action in their own lifestyle and in the broader community. Organised by the Sustainability Collective to promote and enhance awareness of a global ethical sustainability, Sustainability Week aims to educate and inspire students, staff and the broader public to adopt sustainable ideas and practices.

17th - 27th of March

A broad series of creative events taking place leading into Sustainability Week 2010, including a gallery presentation and a fine art exhibition encouraging community interaction and participation. Students are invited to take part in workshops, engage with artists and create work for the community art exhibition. The fine art exhibition - Sustainability: Crisis or Opportunity will be held at the George Paton Gallery, and will gather together fine art practitioners to present work that examines the role of creativity and contemporary art practice in contributig to a critical discussion of sustainability.
